OUR ROOTS

La Litoranea is a luxury resortwear brand born in 2024, on the road that gives it its name. A strip of land that runs along the Salento coast, in Puglia. It is here that its founder, Alexa Minerva, on one of her southern journeys, finds the starting point for everything. Not just a collection, but a way of dressing, of inhabiting time, of being somewhere.

Every La Litoranea piece is born in Salento, in a family-run atelier we have worked with from day one, where 90% of the people are women from the region, carriers of a knowledge passed down through generations. We use only fine natural fibres: OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and European Flax certified linen, silk, cotton. Made in Italy in the most literal sense. The fabric, the cut, the stitching, the finishing, all within a few kilometres of where the piece was designed.

The collections are made to be lived in, from morning at the sea to late in the evening, no changes, no compromise. Every season is conceived as a compact wardrobe: a few pieces, all interchangeable, designed to fit in a suitcase and come out in a thousand different ways.

The inspiration is an Italy that doesn't rush. The 1960s, la dolce vita, not as nostalgia but as an attitude. Colours drawn from the territory: the terracotta of Apulian earth, the dusty pink of Salento whitewashed walls, the yellow of high summer sun, the white of Lecce stone.

The names of the pieces belong to real women, met along the coast. Domenica, Carmela, Marisa, Rosaria. They give their names to the collection, because every piece is born from someone, not something.
